About
Who We are ?
The Bio-Inspired System Design Laboratory at the Biomedical Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) is a facility for graduate and undergraduate robotics, mechatronics and automation research and education with an emphasis on studying bio-inspired robots and novel mechanisms strategies.
Our research interests are in the area of Haptics and Tele-opertation, Rehabilitation Robotics, 3D-Printed Design, Robot Locomotion & Manipulation, Soft Actuators, Platform Design, Kinematics and Mechanisms, and Autonomous Systems. BInSDeLa is also active in research based national and international robotics competitions such as FIRA RoboWorldCup and RoboCup winning numerous top prizes.

BInsDeLa is a unique laboratory dedicated to advancing Bio-Inspired System Design through research and education, where graduate and undergraduate students, post-docs, and visiting researchers all work closely together as a team. Due to extreme demand from students who wish to join and limited available space and resources, we can only accept a small number of students every year.
